I have never been so excited (ok, maybe when Adam and I got engaged and the day we got married are stiff competition) but still, this is pretty epic. Real Simple came to our house back in December (ages ago) and shot it for the May FEATURE. EEEEEP. I’m not sure who is the bigger star, our Silver lake pad or Marty McFly (our beloved mixed terrier pooch). It really doesn’t matter because I am still on cloud nine since the magazine arrived in my mailbox weeks ago. If you have this month’s issue, locate the bathing suit story – we’re right after that! It’s a six page spread dedicated to how we outfitted our small, two bedroom apartment. I’ve gotten a lot of questions about that cat pillow so I’m gonna put the resource below for anyone dying to have one of their own. It’s pretty special so I fully get it — I mean, hello – I toted it all the way back from one of our trips to NYC.  My faves from the article are the desk I built in the office and the DIY faudenza I replicated in the master bedroom via The Brick House. Let me know if you had the chance to read the story and what you thought!!

Hello! I really love the round glass coffee table. Could you share the brand or where I could find one? Thank you!

Where is this sofa from? A vintage find or in stores currently? Also, is that the cat mentioned in your article, or was this set up for the cover and is not in the house? I tried to see if the info on the cover was in the mag but did not see it… Thanks!!

Hi–I really liked the retro-looking blue sofa with wooden arms pictures on page 152 of that Real Simple issue. Is that something current/new hat is available or an an older find of yours? Thanks!!

Hi Jennifer – sorry for the late reply – somehow never got notified about your comment! It is vintage and cannot be ordered online:( When we bought it from a local vintage store in Los Angeles, it was covered in red tweed. I ended up having it reupholstered. xo

Hi Michelle- the stylists from Real Simple brought those two white tufted chairs for the office – unfortunately I don’t know where they got them from, etc.
